Fees, Payments & Cancellation Terms

These terms apply to all bookings and services provided by Dan’s Brakes and Service. By booking or proceeding with a service, you acknowledge and accept these terms.

Payment is required in full upon completion of the service on the day the work is carried out, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been agreed to in writing prior to the booking.

Invoices that are not paid when due will be considered overdue.

Overdue accounts may incur a late payment administration fee of 2.5% per month on the outstanding balance.

Where an overdue account requires debt recovery or legal action, reasonable costs associated with recovering the outstanding amount may also be claimed where permitted by law.

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a booking.

Bookings cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a $100 cancellation fee.

This fee helps cover administration, preparation, time reserved for the booking and the difficulty of filling an appointment at short notice.

Failure to attend an appointment or failure to make the vehicle available at the agreed time may be treated as a late cancellation.

We understand that genuine emergencies and unexpected circumstances can occur. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your booking. Any decision to waive or reduce a cancellation fee will be considered at the discretion of Dan’s Brakes and Service.

Parts may be purchased or ordered in advance specifically for your vehicle and scheduled appointment.

Payment or a deposit may be required before higher value, specially ordered or non returnable parts are purchased.

If a booking is cancelled after parts have been purchased specifically for your vehicle, you may be responsible for the reasonable cost of any parts that cannot be returned, refunded or reasonably used for another customer.

This may be charged in addition to any applicable cancellation fee.

 Standard appointments are generally available Monday to Friday.

Saturday, Sunday and public holiday appointments are not routinely available and are offered by prior arrangement only.

Where a weekend or public holiday appointment is agreed to, the following additional booking surcharges apply:

Saturday: $80
Sunday: $130
Public holidays: $160

The applicable surcharge is in addition to the normal cost of labour, services and parts and will be advised when the booking is arranged.

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a weekend or public holiday booking.

Standard cancellation fees and any applicable costs for specially ordered or non returnable parts may also apply where sufficient notice is not provided.

If additional repairs, labour or parts are identified during the service that are outside the scope of the original booking or quote, we will contact you for approval before proceeding.

Additional work approved by the customer will be added to the final invoice.

Quotes are based on the information available at the time they are provided.

Where the condition of the vehicle, additional faults or other circumstances result in additional work being required, we will discuss this with you before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.

By making or confirming a booking, engaging Dan’s Brakes and Service to perform work, or authorising work to proceed, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review and accept these Fees, Payments & Cancellation Terms.

These terms are available on our website and may be updated from time to time.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
